Aura starts in Easy Mode. If you want a firmer setup, make these changes in order.
1. Turn on Hard Mode. Go to Profile, Settings, then Difficulty. Hard Mode removes the weekly Scroll Pass and early-unblock options. While a block is running, iOS will not delete Aura. Turning Hard Mode off requires a sustained press and hold.
2. Use Always Blocked for apps you do not want to unlock with coins.
3. Protect Screen Time settings with a passcode. In iOS Settings, open Screen Time and choose Lock Screen Time Settings. Ask someone you trust to set the code if you tend to override your own limits.
4. Set reward rates that fit your day. If you earn far more coins than you spend, lower the rates until the exchange feels useful.
Hard Mode relies on Apple's Managed Settings framework. Device restores, Screen Time changes, or future iOS changes can affect the restriction.
