Start by comparing Aura's number with the Steps total in Apple Health for the same day.
If the numbers match, open Health, Browse, Activity, Steps, then Data Sources & Access. Your iPhone, Apple Watch, and fitness apps may all contribute data. Apple Health decides how those sources are combined, and its total is the one Aura receives.
If Aura shows more steps than Apple Health, do not remove any sources. Take screenshots of both totals and email help@downloadaura.app with your iPhone model, iOS version, and Aura version so we can investigate the mismatch.
